The art of sensibly designed living – this is what Avida and Kubular undertake to show during a two-week exhibit featuring the aesthetics of creative interiors. This is the first collaboration between Avida, proponent of sensible and inspired living, and Kubular, the furniture design firm from the brains behind the graphic design-based apparel brand Team Manila. The Avida Showroom in Glorietta 4 is the venue for the exhibit that will be held from June 16-30, 2016.

Avida and Kubular Team Up

In this collaboration, Avida aims to give a taste of the unique lifestyle in San Antonio Makati where its first condo-village project One Antonio is located as well as the Avida Towers Asten. San Antonio Village is a quiet residential area that features a wealth of hidden gems and rare finds. Kubular, on the other hand,  is committed to creating furniture design that is contemporary, flexible, and sustainable. Each piece promises to add character to any space.

Avida Land Marketing Head Tess Tatco emphasized that “Avida and Kubular share the dynamic working millenial demographic-the young, hardworking, creative and culturally-inclined who deserve access to artistically curated and thoughtfully designed living”. Kubular co-founder Mon Punzalan added that “All the furniture aren’t aspirational- they’re accessible. You can purchase them and take them home to improve your own space…”.  Avida and Kubular agree that innovation doesn’t have to be just aspirational.

Kubular’s Lightstyle Collection

Kubular’s second collection features cream-colored Birch wood as primary material. Light-colored wood elements are essential to complement busy surroundings. This collection features the signature black industrial metal handle and bright orange casters. Mon shared that they have been using pre-used wood and turning them into masterpieces that are both functional and beautiful. The Birch wood used for this collection however had to be imported. That is the reason why it took quite some time to  produce this collection as the material is very much in demand.

My Say

I have always been partial to wood furniture, especially the old ones. That is precisely the reason why I am drawn to the Kubular furniture. My personal favorite is the wooden chest. I can already imagine how perfect it would look in my home in looks and in function especially with those metal handles and casters that would make the area where it is placed a lot easier to clean.
