Music

No event will ever be complete without music especially this one. Guests will get to feast on the fresh music at The Sunset Sessions featuring four of the most creative young musicians in the local scene today. These are the soul/experimental/fusion group Farewell Fair Weather, dreamy indie-pop band The Strange Creatures, electro-retro disco-pop trio Tandems ’91, and Carlo Atendido who will once again represent the country in another international DJ competition after bagging 3rd place in a similar competition in 2014. Jamming starts at 4 pm on both days.

Fashion

The fashion exhibit is headlined by designer Gian Romano, who is back in the country after completing his studies in men’s wear design at Central St. Martin’s London and apprenticeship with prestigious New York-based intellectual design collective Three Asfour. The show will likewise feature underground fashion labels Slaves of Liberty, Randolf, Euniform, and Salad Day. These labels have been specifically handpicked for their design philosophy that matches the laid back lifestyle of the south.

Commercenter Alabang Vice President for Marketing Leslie Tagle-Dinglasan says that they are especially proud to offer this activity to the community. It is their way of giving the local creative scene a boost by providing artists a platform to showcase their offering. Southside Collective is a great opportunity to bring people together through what they envision as a great mix of creative experiences. They extend the invitation to everyone who appreciates the different expressions of passion – be it art, music, or fashion.

Southside Collective will be open from 10 am to 8 pm on both days. Entrance is free of charge. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/commercenter.

My Say

Don’t pass up this chance to do something different and creative on a weekend with your family or friends. It is not often that we get to see an interesting line-up of promising artists in the world of art, music, and fashion in one event. Mark your calendar and see you at Southside Collective.
