The Beginnings

Teresay.com was launched in August 2012 as the initial collaboration between myself as the writer and my eldest daughter as the webmaster. Although I started much earlier with another blog, it pretty much used all the available tools provided by Blogger like any blogspot site. Teresay.com was my very first owned domain. It became our virtual playground to experiment, explore, and discover what we can do with a blog.

It was very me, from the color green which I usually favor down to the image of an old typewriter and the font used. It lent a retro feel to the blog. The layout was traditional but it started the ball rolling. Somewhere along the way, we wanted a change as the blog started to get the attention of readers and so we did.

The Restyling

This time, we opted for a fresher look by playing along the colors of white, light blue and textured gray. We also added some interesting features like the slider, menu, and the Advocacy Page. We wanted to be relevant with the times and look it.

Our first official logo was up as well. I know our blog’s look played a big role in the many worthy collaborations I have had the privilege of being part of. Straight from the advertisers’ mouth, my blog looked clean, professional, and reliable. We are certainly on the right track.

The Reinvention

Then  Google announced that its upcoming update in April will now in fact include mobile friendliness and relevant app content as ranking signals. Though I do not blog for the sole purpose of getting the approval of search engines, I know that I would need to consider this aspect if my blog is to remain relevant with the times. Even before I asked her, my daughter has produced a totally reinvented Teresay.com with its new layout.

Teresay.com is now sporting a sleek, responsive, and seo-friendly design. It has non-intrusive plug-ins and elegant social buttons. Doing a search within the blog has never been easier and more powerful. It also makes use of above the fold, ensuring that the most important elements are not lost even while scrolling. This makes it more convenient for readers to decide on their next course of action, whether to read more from other categories, search, or connect.

My Say

Teresay.com’s new look is but a proof that we continually strive to be better so that you, our readers, will have every reason to stay with us. If you wish to have your existing blog reinvented as well or create a new one, look into the services offered by WoManila.com.
